Hi (client), It's great to be working with you! In a nutshell here is how my service works.
1) You pay $60 by going to: Pay Here
2) I send you a link to our private site where we can post questions and answers to each other.
3) You are able to post questions several times per week which will be acknowledged as soon as possible (no later than 12 hours) and answered ASAP.
But remember, poor planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part. You can send me a copy of your syllabus and I will remind you when things are due. Don't spring things on me last minute because I too have a schedule to keep.

Professor Val, This sounds great. I paid my fee and I have my first problem. I don't understand how Freud's Stages of Psychosexual Development are similar to Erikson's Psychosocial Stages. My professor mentioned this in class but I'm lost already. Also, I have a midterm paper due in October. Can you help me with some paper ideas?
Sure Madam XX,
Freud focused on psychosexuality while Erikson talked about the more psychosocial aspects of development. While Freud discussed the Oral Stage of development (oral because the child derrived pleasure through the mouth in the form of feeding), Erikson talked about Trust vs. Mistrust (trust/mistrust because it revolved around the parent's level of attention and care-feeding etc).
Both of these stages take place between birth and a year (to 18 months according to some) of age.
Both stages talk about the child needing to be fed/cared for. If the child is neglected, they may, according to Freud, develop an Oral Fixation. Erikson didn't believe that fixations occurred, even when the "crisis" was not resolved in a healthy manner.
If during the first year of life the child was not properly cared for, they would have problems developing trust with other people. So with Freud the child would be orally fixated and perhaps as an adult they may develop oral habits such as smoking and drinking alcohol and with Erikson the child would likely grow up to be mistrustful of others.
Both the Oral Stage and the Trust vs Mistrust stage revolve around how well the parents met the child's basic needs (feeding them, clothing them, keeping them comfortable and safe).
AHA, ok now I understand how they could be related. The Freud was way too interested in sex! Maybe this is a good topic for my midterm research paper? Is there a lot of information about it?
Sure, that's a great topic for your midterm research paper! You can do a compare/contrast between Freud's stages and Erikson's stages. When is it due? Let's get you on a schedule so you don't leave it for the last minute.
Its due on October 15th. Wow that's pretty soon isnt it? oh no!
Yes it is! Why don't you start gathering some sources including books and journal articles. I'd like to see a draft of the paper by October 5th. That will give you 10 days to do your revisions.
OK. I'll go to the library tomorrow after class. I'll let you know what I find.
You two ARE the same person, aren't you?
As it says on the blog itself, this is a SAMPLE page of what the service would look like, should someone subscribe for $60 a month.
I thought I was clear about that.
